Freestyle Programs

We are pleased to offer weekday/weekend freestyle sessions for more advanced skaters to practice jumps, spins and routines. Freestyle is available on a subscription or walk-on basis. Pair skating is also allowed on these sessions. Approved coaches are welcome.

Private figure skating coaching is available.

The Rinks at Shelton is proud to be affiliated with the Laurel Ridge Skating Club, a non-profit organization and member of the USFSA.

Visiting coaches policy.
All visiting coaches must contact The Rinks Skating Director at 203-929-6500 ext.12 to receive authorization to use our facility.

Coaches must present a copy of current Liability Insurance.

All visiting coaches must sign and return a copy the “Visiting Coaches Code of Conduct” before taking the ice (Form is is available at The Rinks).

Coaching privileges are at the sole discretion of The Rinks at Shelton. Off-ice instruction needs to be confined to Corporate Conference Center which is available for an additional charge.

Visiting coaches may not teach on weekend public.
